Russians rush money abroad as sanctions tighten and capital flight accelerates - The New Voice of Ukraine

Russians are moving money out while the currency is still convertible and before the next round of restrictions makes it impossible. Capital flight doesn't accelerate because sanctions tighten — it accelerates because people expect the next round to be worse than the last. Anyone still holding rubles in a Russian bank at this stage isn't making a considered bet on stability, they're just slow.
