Oil prices dip but hold near highest in a month on Middle East tensions

The Strait of Hormuz was shut for three and a half months, reopened a month ago with anemic traffic, and the ceasefire enabling that reopening is now "on the verge of collapse." Brent is at $84.70 — up 11% this week but still 30% below its one-year high. If traders believed another blockade was imminent, oil wouldn't be dipping at all.
