The LBMA surveyed its members and they think gold will average $4,500 by year-end. It's currently at $4,463. They're forecasting gold to trade sideways for five months while the Strait of Hormuz is mined shut and 2,000 ships sit stranded in the Gulf. Either the survey was taken before August 7, or bullion bankers have decided geopolitical convulsion is priced in at a 1% premium.
