Grantham has called the top before — correctly in 2000 and 2008, prematurely in 2013 and 2021. The question isn't whether US equities are expensive; by most measures they are. The question is what happens when the alternative is holding dollars while the Treasury runs a $2 trillion deficit and CPI prints at 4.27%. Bubbles don't pop because they're bubbles. They pop when there's somewhere safer to hide.
