The Strait of Hormuz has been effectively closed since August 31 with only three ships transiting versus the usual 85 per day, yet WTI is down 24% from its one-year high and Brent is off 25% from peak. Either markets are pricing in a swift resolution or they've stopped believing supply shocks matter when central banks won't respond.
