The Houthis have been striking Saudi infrastructure since 2015 — eleven years of low-grade attrition that Western media treats as episodic news. Aramco facilities remain functional through redundancy, not invulnerability. The real vulnerability is the Strait of Hormuz, which has been effectively closed since early August with 2,000 ships stranded and six months of mine-clearing ahead. Yet WTI trades at $78, down 31% from its one-year high, because the market has priced in demand destruction, not supply disruption.
