The 30-year Treasury yield is near its highest since 2007 with the Strait of Hormuz still closed and $1.9 trillion deficits running. If yields push higher, bitcoin will need to justify its price against a risk-free rate backstopped by an insolvent sovereign fighting three proxy wars. That's not a 1987 analogy — it's worse.
