DW NOTE

Mexico, Peru, and Chile collectively produce 45% of global mined silver — and something just hit all three at once. When the same technical or regulatory failure strikes across national borders simultaneously, start with the denominator: dollar-priced input costs for diesel, chemicals, or replacement parts that became uneconomic at current silver prices. If it's not cost structure, it's the grid — all three depend on hydroelectric capacity that's climate-sensitive. Either way, silver at $67 after a 41% drawdown from peak doesn't leave much margin for operational problems that arrive in parallel.
