The US just bombed three Iranian oil tankers after IRGC forces attacked American ships. Iran has held the Strait of Hormuz closed for 189 days; only 6 vessels passed through on August 30 versus the normal 85. The US now estimates six months to clear the mines Iran laid in February, which means this blockade — and the supply shock — runs into Q1 2027 at the earliest.
