Iran has now closed the world's most critical oil chokepoint — 21% of global petroleum passes through Hormuz — and attacked a civilian ship hard enough to leave a crew member missing. Brent is at $76, down 36% from its recent peak. Either the market believes this escalation resolves quickly, or it has stopped pricing geopolitical risk entirely.
