The U.S. is bombing Iran while the president claims a waterway is open that Iran demonstrably controls. The Strait of Hormuz averaged 28 transits daily between June 18 and July 5 — half the pre-blockade rate — and dropped from 51 crossings on July 8 to 24 on July 9. Tehran closed it on February 28 and never fully reopened it. Striking a country whose blockade you cannot break is not strategy, it's theatre with Tomahawks.
