The U.K.’s Crypto and Digital Assets All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) is focused on banks that refused crypto firms accounts or introduced restrictions on crypto transactions.

The inquiry comes eighteen months after U.S. regulators began shutting crypto firms out of the banking system under what the industry calls "Operation Chokepoint 2.0." Britain is now cataloguing the same pattern: banks refusing accounts, blocking transactions, citing risk they cannot name. The APPG wants written evidence. What they will find is banks acting as monetary gatekeepers without statutory authority — deciding which legal commerce the public may conduct with their own sterling.
