DW NOTE
Trump announcing "massive" drilling in Greenland while the Strait of Hormuz sits closed and oil trades at $105 is telling. Greenland's geology is speculative at best — no commercial production exists, no infrastructure, ice cover for most of the year. Meanwhile, 5.7 million barrels per day of actual supply have disappeared this year and Iran controls a chokepoint that moves a fifth of global oil. This is optionality theater while tankers burn in the Gulf.
