DW NOTE
Sudan's pound fell to 7,500 per dollar — a 98.7% loss against the pre-war rate of 55. War zones always produce dual economies: one for regime insiders with access to hard currency, one for everyone else with vanishing purchasing power. The IMF will eventually arrive with loans conditional on "structural reform," which will mean austerity for the losers of a war they didn't start.
