DW NOTE
Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline was supposed to be the bypass solution when the Strait closed seven months ago. If satellite imagery now shows major damage, the kingdom has lost its only crude export route that doesn't require either Hormuz or the Bab el-Mandeb — both of which are contested waterways. The IEA already projects a 5.7 million barrel-per-day supply loss this year. This makes that math worse.
