The Fed raised 25 basis points into headline CPI at 3.4% and PPI at 5.44% — not to fix supply chains through the Strait of Hormuz, but because real rates were negative and getting worse. The 10-year yield is already at 5%, doing the work whether the Fed calls it symbolic or not.
