DW NOTE
The Strait is already severely restricted — daily transits fell from 51 to 24 in the past two days despite the ceasefire. If traders are only now fearing further restriction, they weren't watching the ships. Iran demonstrated in February that it can close the waterway whenever the calculus shifts. The price jump isn't about new risk; it's about belated recognition of control already ceded.
