Natixis sets a $5,000 gold target and cites debt concerns — on a day when gold sits at $4,703, down 11.6% from its January high of $5,318, while the Strait of Hormuz remains closed for 133 days and oil has somehow fallen 27%. If Treasury markets were truly seizing, the curve wouldn't be sitting at a placid +46 basis points and crude wouldn't be trading like OPEC just found Ghawar II.
