The Strait of Hormuz has been effectively shut for five days. Global oil supply is down 4.3 million barrels per day. Brent is trading at $89.70 — down 24% from its yearly high. If this is what $330 billion in extra import costs looks like, either the figure is wrong or the world is running through inventory it didn't know it had.
