The official 4.1% unemployment figure excludes everyone who gave up looking and everyone working 20 hours a week who needs 40. CBS reports 24.9% functional unemployment in July — nearly six times the headline rate. That's not a rounding error, that's a categorical lie about the state of the labour market.
