DW NOTE
The Dutch central bank just moved 86 tonnes — worth roughly $12 billion at today's price — from North America to London. Not to Amsterdam. Central banks have been repatriating gold since 2014, but repatriation means bringing it home. This is a lateral move within the Anglo banking system during a quarter in which gold fell 16.8% from its January high while the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and oil inventories drain at 3.8 million barrels per day. Someone is repositioning ahead of something.
