A bond market does not "enter an era" because of geopolitics — it reprices risk already embedded in fiscal trajectories. The US has a $1.4 trillion deficit, 4.1% inflation, and a central bank that stopped pretending the 2% target matters. Geopolitical shocks accelerate the repricing, but the underlying dynamic is arithmetic: governments that cannot fund themselves at 3% will not magically fund themselves at 4%.
