Bitcoin pauses at $64,000 as rising yields, oil drag equities lower

BTC has dropped 0.6% since midnight UTC as Nasdaq 100 futures slip 1.1%, with the FOMC's July meeting minutes and a White House crypto summit both due Wednesday.

Bitcoin trading sideways while the 10-year hits 4.68% and Brent sits at $91 with the Strait still effectively closed — that's not correlation breakdown, that's markets pricing in permanent policy accommodation. The Fed has held rates flat all year while inflation runs hot and the deficit grew 3% through June. A White House crypto summit means nothing when Treasury yields are screaming that someone will monetise this eventually.
