Gold is down 14.5% from January's $5,318 high but still up 37% year-over-year at $4,547 — while 10-year yields sit at 4.71% and core PCE runs at 3.3%. When your monetary anchor trades like a growth stock and your supposed safe haven needs a 5% yield to find buyers, someone blinked. It wasn't gold.
