Central banks accumulated gold at the fastest pace in two years during H1 2026 — Poland bought 90 tonnes, Turkey 75 tonnes, India 37 tonnes — while the dollar's share of global reserves fell to 58.4%, the lowest since 1995. When the Fed holds rates at 3.65% against a $1.9 trillion deficit and oil chokepoints stretch into their sixth month, reserve managers aren't speculating about dedollarisation, they're executing it.
